Perched on a hillside at the confluence of the rivers Moselle and Seille, Metz dominates Lorraine, of which it is the capital. The dynamism of the 200,000 inhabitants has raised Metz to the position of leading regional town with regard to communication and technology. In the heart of the ZAC Amphitheatre, culture will soon establish itself with the opening in 2008 of the Metz Pompidou Centre. The influence of this major public initiative has been reinforced by the arrival of the TGV Est train line in June. To accompany the birth of this new district, structured by the TGV station and the Metz Pompidou Centre, Apsys in association with ING will construct a new area of retail and leisure, thus reinforcing this new cultural destination
